today was the first day of my 3 1/2 week vacation!
we left LA in the morning, flying to mexico city, then to veracruz, arriving around 7.30pm local time. my goodness it is humid, and i only brought shorts (since it's supposed to be in the 90s while we're here), but i've already begun to be attacked by mosquitos, so my legs are destined to fulfill their old nickname from my summers in taiwan - hong doh twey (aka, red bean legs).
labe, whose wedding we are attending, picked us up at the airport, then his wife norma joined us for dinner. we ate at a place called los giros, and had amazing amazing tacos. i had the lengua (tongue) and molleja (sweetbread) tacos. soooo deRicious!
