boston : the food.

after all the great eating in philadelphia, we continued eating well in boston, but this time with family! john picked us up from the train station and took us back to his place friday morning; his wife went to a bakery, whose name i can't remember, and bought us croissants and morning buns!

for lunch, john dropped us and andrea, a different brother's wife, in brookline village and we munched on some delicious sandwiches at cutty's. james had their roast beef 1000 and i had the ham pimento, which was awesome we then walked down the street to matt murphy's pub for some drinks, and they ended up bringing out complimentary orders of their house fries and crispy new potatoes.

dinner that night with all four of us siblings was at la morra, and italian resto also in brookline. i ordered half portions of both the corn agnolotti with mushrooms and risotto with sausage and kale; james had the herb-crusted veal, with polenta and some sort of greens...

this one is a little bit random, but after a night (and day really) of drinking with john, we went to wok'n'talk - an open-late chinese stir-fry type place, where you pick your sauce and type of noodles and the fry it up in a wok right there for you. good drunk eats if you ask me, but like i said, completely random, especially in the wee hours of the morning.

for dinner one night john and cindy and their three adorable kiddies took us to little q hot pot and szechuan house in arlington. it was really great, and we ate so much food! the cutest was my littlest niece, who looooooooves her some beef tongue. she kept talking about it before dinner, and when it was brought to the table she practically fell out of her chair in excitement and squealing.

and last but not least, and i apologize for not having photos of this, harv took us to chung shin yuan for taiwanese breakfast before taking us to the airport sunday morning! dragon sticks and soy milk. scallion pancake. sesame bun and beef sandwich. turnip cake. beef noodle soup. ahh! it was all so good! really love that place.
