found a fun new little blog today: TAIWAN543, a self-described "online magazine with a mission to close the gap between Taiwan and the world." i find it a bit amusing that just about all of the staff either grew up in or currently lives in southern california, and a few of them even grew up in the same LA suburb as i did, arcadia. in fact, i recognize one of them from my elementary or middle school days.
anyway, i totally dig it and have subscribed. the taiwanese american community is shockingly small sometimes, and it's always nice to at least feel more connected to it and the "homeland" itself, one way or another. and with posts about taiwanese-americans in the industry, major leage baseball visiting taiwan, and even opportunities to visit taiwan, what's not to love?
