jam and brunch at SQIRL.

SQIRL and G+B in silverlake has become one of my favorite places since i first visited. i love the coffee, i love the food, i basically love the everyone that works there or goes there. and i've run into lots of friends there too. it's just a good, delicious vibe all around.

anyway, we went recently and picked up blood orange and strawberry jams. and ordered brioche with nut butter (i don't remember what kind) and yuzu marmalade. that's right, yuzu marmalade. and it was amazing.

james had their housemade ricotta and iberico sandwich, and i had the chicken galantine.

jam going into jars behind the sqirl counter and some fancy iced coffee with owner kyle glanville behind the g+b counter:

some other tasty treats i've had in the past; tomato jam, mushrooms and fried egg over toast; rice with sorrel pesto, housemade sausage (i don't know why i specify, basically everything is housemade..), fried egg, hot sauce. i think the latter is one of the best breakfasts i've ever had and it's so hard to not order it every time.
