christmas and new year's in LA.

we both stayed in LA over the holidays, which meant we went back to my parents's house for a lot of it. for christmas dinner, we decided to bring back an old family "tradition" and bought a lobster for everyone at thuan phat supermarket in el monte.

sanford seems to like the ugly floral couch back home.

then my brother harvard came into town with wife cindy and four-month-old ethan! he's pretty stinkin' cute.

new year's eve we spent quietly at our apartment. we enjoyed a bottle of veuve (our favorite!) in coupes and then on new year's day, we went to culver city for our first coffee of the new year at cognescenti.
