pasadena frenchie meetup = bat ears and snorts galore.

i joined the pasadena french bulldog meetup group awhile back, but have never had the chance to make it out to one of the meetups, until this weekend! first off, i love the park since it's a grass park! silverlake's is dirt, so sanford gets REALLY disgustingly muddy. secondly, holy cow i've never seen so many frenchies in one place. i'd say there were at least twenty! sanford had so much fun, especially since this is his first real outing since six weeks ago when we had to take him to the emergency room for pain. in the photos below, he is the red fawn (dark brown) with black mask and a blue neck collar.

to provide a bit of an update on sanford.. after two weeks of painkillers and crate rest, we took him to his regular vet for a check up. he still wasn't doing great, though much much better, so it was another two weeks of painkillers and crate rest. during that period, he got WAY better, and became super rambunctious and puppy-playful again, which he hasn't been in months. after the four week mark checkup, the vet said we could probably let him out of the crate, but still limited activity, and no more painkillers! he's been happy and healthy, but still no stairs for him. he was definitely very excited to see so many other pups at the park and for the chance to stretch his legs and roll around.
