we volunteered to help our friends david and leah demo the kitchen in their new home, so that they can put in a brand new one. we knew it would be a lot of work, so we filled up on corned beef hash and the sunset scramble at sunset junction coffee shoppe first. i still can't get over how good their tater tots and sourdough bread are.
the demo went pretty well. below are some pictures part way through it. it was a lot of fun; i even got to use a ten-pound sledgehammer. the kitchen itself was terrible. tiled countertops. and no backing! they just painted the wall inside the cabinet after installing! but i now know how to unhook a built-in oven, dishwasher and even a sink and garbage disposal. wee!
