rangers at angel stadium!

i saw yu darvish pitch for japan in the 2009 world baseball classic, so when i heard he finally crossed the pacific and was picked up by the texas rangers, i knew i had to try and go to a game this year. at the very beginning of the season, i made a bit of a gamble and just picked a random game where the rangers were playing the angels in anaheim, and hoped that darvish would be pitching. and it totally paid off!

we sat in a club mvp section, which was nice because we had in-seat service for food and drinks. it was cowboy hat night, so we all got cowboy hats too. below is our friends monica and brittany rocking theirs.

the rangers lost in the end (i rooted for them because i like darvish, and really really hate the angels), but i got to see yu darvish pitch! and against albert pujols (pictured below) - so, goal accomplished!
