the conference itself was pretty cool! we saw some very cool things. we met our friends jack and suzy there with their baby girl dylan, who was totally hamming it up for the camera.
being there really made me wish i could afford a house in LA. one day. i really did love this concrete water feature table we saw, and i got some ideas for succulents and gardening in the "outdoor" section.
probably the coolest thing we found though was connect:homes. they do pre-fab homes, but i really liked them because they are not just designers, as so many pre-fab companies are out there, but engineers - in the sense that they've worked out the entire system from beginning to end, not just the design and build, for the customer. i won't get into details, just suffice to say i was extremely impressed.
