we went to tart again for some southern breakfast-y goodness. james got the bottomless mimosa (again..) and i tried the "john daily" - which is sweet tea vodka, lemonade and sprite. super refreshing! perfect for the very warm day it was quickly becoming.
of course we started with the biscuits and gravy, which were not as good as the ones we had there last time. it seems like the replaced the gravy with chicken gravy (there were still bits of sausage and ham in it) and it was also not as thick. a little disappointing, but the main courses were not!
i had the chicken and waffles and a side of "billy" grits (pictured above) and james had the california scramble (below). the waffle was so good! as was the fried chicken tenders! and the grits had bacon and cheese and green onion and lots off pepper to give it a bit of a kick. loved it.
